Flo-Mech เปิดตัวระบบผลิตน้ำเชื่อมปรุงรสแบบตามสั่ง Flo-Flavour สำหรับขนมขบเคี้ยว

UK equipment maker Flo-Mech has commissioned its Flo-Flavour On-Demand Slurry System, combining continuous mixing, gravimetric dosing and automated slurry application for snack and coated product lines, and is offering on-site customer trials.
Flo-Mech Ltd has announced that its new Flo-Flavour On-Demand Slurry System is fully commissioned and ready for customer production trials. Designed for snack and coated product lines, the system features accurate gravimetric dosing, continuous mixing rather than batch mixing, and automated powder and liquid integration. Flo-Mech can arrange delivery of the unit to customer sites, allowing manufacturers to test the system with their own products in their own production environments.
Continuous mixing and on-demand application. Seasoning powder is added to the powder hopper by the operator. Powder and oil are continuously fed to the mixing tank at the recipe rate. The Flo-Flavour MkIV works in conjunction with the seasoning drum’s infeed weigh vibrator to apply the correct amount of slurry, as determined by the recipe, to the product within the seasoning drum via a peristaltic pump. The system operates on an on-demand basis, maintaining a constant level in the mixing tank by adding powder and oil in proportion to the slurry applied to the product. Flo-Mech’s proprietary application lance is designed to provide consistent slurry application within the drum.

Compact design and operational benefits. According to Flo-Mech, the system offers continuous, smooth application, reduced ingredient overuse and waste, faster changeovers, less downtime, and lower cleaning time and water usage. The equipment features a compact, flexible design with a smaller footprint than a standard two-tank system. Its LEAN design allows the operator to access the complete system from floor level.
Flo-Mech Ltd provides a complete range of systems, services and engineering solutions to the food processing industry, and is a long-standing supplier to potato crisp and snack manufacturers.
Why it matters for the potato chain. Seasoning application is one of the last points in crisp and snack production where recipe inconsistency turns directly into giveaway: every percentage point of excess powder or oil is margin lost at industrial scale. The shift from batch mixing to continuous, gravimetrically controlled slurry preparation targets exactly that leakage, while on-demand tank management reduces the standing volume of mixed slurry that must be discarded or reworked at changeovers. For snack producers running multiple flavour variants per shift, the promised faster changeovers and reduced cleaning water speak to both cost and sustainability reporting.
The offer of on-site trials signals the company’s confidence that measured, in-plant performance — rather than showroom specifications — will carry the argument with production managers weighing upgrades for the 2027 season.
There is also a labour dimension. Floor-level access to the complete system reduces the need for elevated platforms and specialist intervention during routine operation and cleaning, at a time when snack producers across Europe and North America report persistent difficulty in staffing technical shifts. Equipment that can be serviced from floor level by existing line operators fits the industry’s broader push toward fewer, more flexible personnel per line.
